Publication, Reviews, Glossary

So, ‘Monsoon Memories’ is out there, out of my hands and into yours.  I must admit that I was nervous, so nervous. For such a long time this story was just in my head. And now, it is going to be read, judged by so many people- it is like the feeling you get before you send your little one off to school for the very first time, teetering on his feet, ‘Go on, darling, you’ll be fine. Have fun.’ And he does. It’s you who isn’t fine, you who are on tenterhooks the whole time.

Having said that, I have been overwhelmed by the support, the likes and the shares on FB, the RTs on Twitter, the wonderful, positive comments from so many of you. And I want to say, thank you. Thank you so very much. I realise how much I am asking of you: to like, to share, to part with your money in these difficult times and buy the book, to spare the time to read it and then, to find the time to spread the word, to write reviews. And yet, so many of you have done so, and have been so accommodating. I realise how incredibly lucky I am, to have so many wonderful people supporting me, willing to share the news of my book. Thank you.

Those of you who have been reading the book have loved it- phew- but have asked if it is possible to explain some of the Indian references. And so, I have prepared a glossary- here:

When you are reading the book, if there is something you don’t understand, just pop over to my website and click on the glossary and it is all there. If there is something missing, do let me know and I will add it on pronto.

Also, to celebrate the launch of ‘Monsoon Memories’, I did an interview with my publisher, Bookouture. You can read it here:

If you enjoyed the book, or if you didn’t- shout about it on Goodreads, vent on Amazon. Tell me what you thought of Monsoon Memories, your take on it. I would LOVE to know. Tell your friends. Spread the word. Thank you.
